ACM New Artist of the Year nominee Tyler Farr has been on quite a career roll, having earned a pair of number-one hits with “Whiskey in My Water” and the Platinum-certified “Redneck Crazy,” in addition to a monster tour schedule that’s found him on the road extensively with Jason Aldean, as well as working on his upcoming album. Right now, Tyler’s climbing the charts with his new album’s first single, “A Guy Walks into a Bar.” And as much as Tyler appreciates all the success he’s having, he admits that the pace of touring and career has kept him so busy that he’s had moments when he just needed to step back and take it all in. Tyler Farr says that success can come at a crazy pace. (:27) (note content)
“To have ‘Redneck Crazy’ and ‘Whiskey in My Water’ go number one, and not only number one but back-to-back, was very surreal. You play all these shows, and you’re gone, so you don’t really have time for it to sink in, but at the number-one party, it sank in for a second, and I was like, ‘Wow, this really happened.’ Words can’t describe it. You want that when you first start and you have a single come out, and then all of a sudden one day you wake up and you have two back-to-back number ones, you’re like, ‘When the hell did this happen?'”
