Garth Brooks says that his worldview owes a lot to his parents. (:36)
“The way I look at the world is a direct reflection of being a son to my parents. My mom believed you could fly. Totally believed you could fly. My dad would pull you over after Mom told you that and said, ‘Hey, look, if you’re gonna fly, it’s gonna take a lot of damn work.’ And so they were very real and very dreamy at the same time. So, people might say I’m an optimist, people might say I’m a dreamer, but the truth is, I believe I see things the way they can be. And when it comes to people, we can always be good. It’s our choice. So that means our future could 100% be good if we all just learned to love one another.”
