Trisha filled-in on a show for friend Emmylou Harris last month, and she didn’t know just how cool a gig it would turn out to be. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)
- Be listening for Trisha’s new single, “PrizeFighter” featuring Kelly Clarkson — it’s set to officially hit the radio airwaves on Monday!
- Of course, Trisha is currently in the midst of an 11-show run in Chicago with hubby Garth Brooks, with additional shows this Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Trisha Yearwood talks about meeting Joan Baez. (:24)
“I just said, ‘Yeah, I’ll go do the gig.’ I didn’t even really know what it was. And it was a kind of a guitar-pull thing. And it was Patty Griffin, who I know, and Joan Baez. And so, I mean, I walked in the door and like, seriously? I’m sittin’ on the stage and tradin’ jokes and talkin’ recipes with Joan Baez! I mean, it was just the most surreal experience. I think it’s cool that those things aren’t normal to me. I don’t go, ‘Oh yeah, that’s no big deal.’ It’s a big deal.”
