Congratulations to Miranda Lambert, who has the number-one country album in the nation for a second straight week with her new collection, Platinum. The album includes Miranda’s chart-topping single, “Automatic,” as well as her hot new duet with Carrie Underwood on the song, “Somethin’ Bad.” Carrie and Miranda have already had great fun performing the song together on a couple of award shows, as well as at the CMA Music Festival, and Miranda says that she thinks the world of Carrie. - MusicRow’s Robert K. Oermann was recently singing the praises of “Somethin’ Bad” — and Miranda’s Platinum album as a whole — saying, “Country’s two reigning divas team up on a Thelma-and-Louise stomper that will make you reach for a drink and turn up the jukebox. Attitude with pizzazz. Miranda’s entire Platinum CD is a mini masterpiece. Buy it.”

Miranda Lambert talks about her “Somethin’ Bad” duet partner, Carrie Underwood. (:31)
“I’m a huge Carrie Underwood fan. Every time it comes on — a rerun of the Girls’ Night Out when she did ‘How Great Thou Art,’ and she’s done it before — every time that performance comes on, like, Blake [Shelton] and I stop everything we’re doing, watch it, and ball our eyes out like we have church. She’s just one of the most powerful vocalists of all time — not of country, just of all time, I think. You know, anytime Carrie’s anywhere, I’m like, ‘Okay, good, country’s gonna look good tonight ‘cause she’s gonna have it together, she’s gonna be classy and sing her butt off, and so, we’re good.’ Wherever she is, country music looks good.”
