It’s a big week for Miranda Lambert fans with this week’s release of her new album, Platinum, on top of which, it’s the week of the annual CMA Music Festival, where Miranda will perform on Friday, as well as the CMT Music Awards, where she’s not only performing “Somethin’ Bad” — her new duet with Carrie Underwood — she’s also this year’s most-nominated artist. “Well, the CMT Awards are just like a…it’s like a party. I mean, it’s just a…it’s a big fan party. I mean, that’s what it is, celebratin’ country music. And it’s always during CMA Fest, so that’s what that whole week is about. And I think it’s a great time to have it, too, because it’s what we’re all there to do is celebrate our genre of music and celebrate the fans. So, it’s a really good feelin’, you know? It’s like low stress and more about just havin’ fun.”
