audio  Carrie Underwood talks about being a part of The Sound of Music Live! (:43)
“I grew up loving the movie, and I’ve always loved musicals, and obviously I have such a huge respect for people singing live and people that are genuinely talented people getting up and presenting themselves to the world, and I think marrying all that stuff, you know, being on TV, being a live event, being a musical, I really think we’ll be able to kind of bring all of those things to a whole new generation and hopefully just let people really get an appreciation for big events like that and live music. And I’m just excited to be a part of one of the greatest musicals of all time, and I’m excited to get that chance.”
