Being a singer, Chris Young is naturally a concert night owl, but he says that taking advantage of his late-night body rhythms backfired a bit when it came to making the video for his latest smash, “Aw Naw.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

The Voice Season 4 winner Danielle Bradbery will also be on board as a special guest.
• JUST ANNOUNCED… Word just hit today that Chris will be among the artists appearing on the upcoming American Country Awards. Hosted by Trace Adkins and Danica Patrick, the two-hour special will air live at 8pm, ET (tape-delayed PT), December 10th, on FOX.

“It was in Nashville, and I’m gonna be honest: that was one of the worst ideas we have ever had, to film at night. And I thought, ‘This will be perfect.’ It was perfect for me. Everyone else, like, 2 o’clock hit, and you just saw it on everybody’s face. We are done. Like, it’s time for us to go to sleep. And I was like, ‘Oh, I got a second wind! I’m good to go!’ And I think we filmed all the way through to like, 5, 6 in the mornin’, and everybody was just like, ‘Oh, my God, why did we do this?'”

“The club scenes, what was really cool about that is that was actually like an open, kind of abandoned industrial building that we turned into look like a club. And (laughs) all the girls were, like, walkin’ around, like, real careful because there’s puddles of water (laughs) that you can’t see in the video, and they’re all like, ‘Okay, don’t step in that. I don’t know what that is.’ And it was just like, you know, a rundown warehouse that we made look like a really fun club.”

“I’m pretty sure somebody went to that gas station and got, like, a really mashed-up bag of CHEETOS. Whatever it was that we were throwin’ back and forth in that video, ’cause we never actually…I think we put it back on the shelf.” (laughs)
