- In a recent article on Billboard.com, recording artist John Waite (“Missing You”) talked about his new music, as well as the thrill of having Love and Theft release their version of Waite’s “If You Ever Get Lonely,” a song he’d recorded and co-written. He said, “I’m thrilled about it. Every time we announce the song from the stage, we give them a plug. I’ve always loved Country, folk, and the acoustic end of music. Western music was really my roots. Marty Robbins was one of the first singers that really hit me hard. Love and Theft seem like great guys, and work seven days a week. They’re always on the road. They deserve a hit, whether I wrote it or not. It would be a lovely thing to see it go all the way.” Love and Theft’s recording of “If You Ever Get Lonely” is on their self-titled album that also features “Runnin’ Out of Air” and the chart-topping “Angel Eyes.”
