“The fact that Joe Walsh even knows who I am is just overwhelming to me. You know? And he really screwed up when he gave me his e-mail! (laughs) I met him out there on the [Kenny] Chesney stadium tours, but when we got done recordin’ this song, it just kind of had that cool ‘ol Eagles kind of vibe to it, and I took the liberty of sendin’ it to Joe, and man, it was one of the greatest days of my life when he called up and said, ‘Man, I want to play on your record!’ And he actually went home to his home studio that night and recorded those tracks and e-mailed ’em to me. I mean, can you imagine gettin’ a e-mail from Joe Walsh and openin’ it (laughs) up, and here’s these awesome Joe Walsh slide parts on your song? And I was just so excited anyway, and now to be nominated for an award, it’s really special. That’d be cool to get to share that with Joe.”
