Jake Owen and his lovely wife Lacey are expecting their first child — a baby girl — later this month, and when we caught up with Jake recently, he said that there’s a whole lot of anticipation and excitement in the family — and it’s not just Jake and Lacey! (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

“Yeah, my parents — as most parents are — are very excited about havin’ grandkids. My mom has asked me for years, ‘When are you gonna get married? When are you gonna get married? I want grandbabies.’ And I told her that it just was gonna be…it’s gonna take the right person, and I really never thought I’d get married, but a lot of things in my life have happened when I least expected it, and Lacey came into my life at a time when I needed it most — and needed her the most, and thankfully she’ll be here with me ‘til my dying day.”
