Kenny Chesney says that his new album not only has a different kind of sound, it’s also the most emotional album he’s ever made. (:42)
“There is a different sound of this record. Sonically, there’s a different sound. I think material-wise, there is a level of emotion on this record that I think is pretty evident, because I think that a lot of artists when they’re done with a record, they’ll say this is my favorite record that I’ve ever done, no matter if it is or not. I’m not sure it is, but I can tell ya, this record took me on an emotional journey that none of them have. And I think when you listen to this record and you hear that in these songs, there is a thread of longing on a lot of these songs, and it has an emotion to it that I’m not sure that we’ve captured on any other record before. And I’m proud of that.”
