Kenny Chesney talks about how he “escapes” on tour. (:45)
“I read in a interview — I think it was Steven Tyler, I think — where he said the place he gets away the most is the most ironic place ever, and it’s in front of all those people. And I relate with that, ’cause in a lot of ways, the place I’m the most comfortable is in that element. It’s odd to think that it takes 20 or 30,000 people to…’cause that’s not a normal way to live (laughs), but it is my reality. In a lot of ways, that’s…I feel in the zone out there. I feel comfortable. I feel comfortable in my skin, more so there, in front of all those people, than I do walking in a restaurant. It’s true. Weird, but true.”
