- And speaking of Brad’s song “Camouflage,” last week Brad looked to the single as inspiration for his upcoming tour, The Camobunga! 2012 World Tour. Featuring special guests The Band Perry and Scotty McCreery, the tour launches January 12th, with dates currently announced through early March. As for the unusual name, Brad says that Camobunga! is a blend of “camouflage” and the expression “cowabunga” — but by any name, it’ll be a good time! Watch for a date near you, and make plans now! Check out www.BradPaisley.com for upcoming shows.
- Happy birthday to Brad! He’ll be celebrating his big day this Friday, October 28th!
- And look for Brad’s book, Diary of a Player, set for release next Tuesday! Co-written with David Wild, it’s Brad’s salute to the musical heroes who helped shape his love of the guitar. The book is already attracting praise, with Publishers Weekly declaring that Brad “certainly entertains in this charming story of his road to success.” Check it out!
Brad Paisley talks about the theme of his new song, “Camouflage.” (:26)
“I like lookin’ for that little thing — we have those on every record — the songs like ‘Water’ where you find a subject and how that relates to the country lifestyle and write a song about it. And they’re more difficult than you think to write, especially that one, and that was the one this time where it felt like that’s the lifestyle I want to touch on that I see that we all have in our closets in this format.”
