“It’s somethin’ I worked really hard on for the last year of my life. Took time to really sit back and find out what I wanted to say on the new record, what kind of songs I wanted to put on there. And now that it’s out, and people have the opportunity to hear what I’ve been workin’ on for a year, I’m…it’s just an exciting feeling to know that there’s a lot to build on from this record over the next couple years.”
Jake Owen says that he really kept his focus on finding the strongest songs for his new album, Barefoot Blue Jean Night. (:15)
“‘Barefoot Blue Jean’ is kind of what got me here now finally to this point, and it really relates to my life, and having ‘The One That Got Away’ is another uptempo rockin’ song that really relates kind of to my show. I just think if you can put hit song after hit song, no matter what it is, a good song is a good song, right?”
