Kenny Chesney knows that people sometimes look to his shows as an escape, and Kenny says they’re an escape for him, too. (:35)
“I see that when people come to our show, ’cause I’m not naïve enough to know that everybody has problems, and everybody has a lot of stress in their life, and everybody has a lot of things goin’ on in their head. And what I want the fans to know is that I’m no different, and the band guys are no different. I mean, if they could hear the conversations that go on backstage during the day and on the buses at night, you know, it’s unbelievable, really. You know, so, as much of an escape it is for the fans to come to the shows and experience the music, it’s the same thing for us to be able to go do it, and I think that’s what makes it special.”
