This Sunday, Gwyneth Paltrow will be taking the stage at The 83rd Academy Awards® to perform “Coming Home,” one of the songs featured in her movie, Country Strong, which co-stars Tim McGraw, Garrett Hedlund, and Leighton Meester. The song, written by Bob DiPiero, Tom Douglas, Hillary Lindsey, and Troy Verges, is nominated for Original Song.
This is the second time in four months that Gwyneth will be performing a song from her movie on an award show stage — last November, she sang “Country Strong” at the CMA Awards. Both songs are featured on the original motion picture soundtrack to Country Strong, available now. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

Gwyneth Paltrow talks about the Oscar®-nominated song “Coming Home” from her movie, Country Strong. (:11)
“The song in the film, ‘Coming Home’ — that was written for the movie, and that’s kind of an amazing thing to be singing a song that was specifically written for you, for your character. It was very exciting to sing.”
Gwyneth Paltrow thinks that songs like “Coming Home” are easy to relate to because of people’s shared experiences. (:25)
“When you’ve lived and experienced happiness and grief and tragedy and wonderful things, and it’s like the older you get, the more you experience, the more you can bring to your art, whether it’s a song or a film. You know, again, that’s one of the things about country music that I love so much is, like, a song like ‘Coming Home’ that’s so honest, and it speaks to everyone. You know, everybody can relate to the lyrics of that song.”
Gwyneth Paltrow describes what “home” is to her. (:12)
“What makes a place home for me is my husband and my kids. You know, we could be, like, in a trailer, on a movie set, we could be at home-home, we could be, you know, in a park in Japan. But if I’m with those three, then I feel home.”
Although the song award goes to the songwriters, Gwyneth says that when it comes to awards, you wouldn’t see any of her honors on display at home. (:07)
“No, we hide awards in our house. They’re too embarrassing. There’s not one out anywhere.”
