010 HIGHLIGHTS: June" width="16" height="14" /> Brad Paisley says there’s a lot of him in the lyrics to his number-one single, “Water.” (:16)
“‘Water’ is me to a ‘T.’ You know, I went to spring break. I went to Myrtle Beach on spring break. We had a rope tied at the Ohio River at a bank down there in Moundsville that kids would go swing off this rope and jump into the river. And summertime revolved around that body of water.”

“So we wrote this song, ‘Best Days of Your Life’ about an ex that did me wrong. And the whole concept of the song is that, you know, he’s already had the best days of his life — it’s over now. You know, so, it’s kind of mean, but I like getting the last word. I guess that’s just a woman for ya! We always gotta have the last word! That’s the way it should be!” (laughs)
010 HIGHLIGHTS: June" width="16" height="14" /> Kenny Chesney says that “I’m Alive” was a great musical fit for him to do with Dave Matthews. (:39)
“I had already written ‘I’m Alive,’ and Dave told me he loved that ‘I’m Alive’ song and that he felt like that would be something that would fit on one of his records to stand alone, you know? And I said ‘Well, why don’t we try doin’ it?’ And then it just…it was just magic in the studio when we did it. I didn’t realize how natural my voice and his voice would sound together. (laughs) You know, ’cause it’s completely two different styles. We come from completely two different worlds. I mean he was born in South Africa. I was born in East Tennessee. You know? (laughs) So it just goes to show you how universal music can really be.”
010 HIGHLIGHTS: June" width="16" height="14" /> Kellie Pickler says she felt so blessed in 2010. (:20)
“This year has just been so amazing. I’ve been so blessed, and workin’ on the new album, planning a fourth USO tour, which is exciting — you know, it’s always exciting to be able to do anything with the USO. They’ve been so good to me. Newly engaged, so — planning a wedding. Got a lot on my plate right now, but I’m havin’ fun.”
