This Tuesday marks the release date for a very special DVD from Miranda Lambert, who brings us up-close for an intimate performance of six songs on Revolution: Live by Candlelight. Miranda and two of her bandmembers got together in a small studio to record the DVD, which includes five songs from her Revolution album and one from her debut album, Kerosene. And while Miranda can put on a really dynamic live show, one thing she loved about making this DVD was throttling back a bit and giving people a chance to see the side of her that is more a songwriter/singer than a singer/songwriter. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)
- The DVD includes performances of “White Liar,” “Dead Flowers,” “The House That Built Me,” “Heart Like Mine,” and “Love Song” from Revolution, as well as “Love Is Looking for You,” from Miranda’s Kerosene album.

Miranda Lambert talks about her new DVD, Revolution: Live by Candlelight. (:31)
“It’s called Revolution by Candlelight because there’s a million candles (laughs) in this small studio, and it’s just me and my guitar player, Scotty, and Aden, my bass player, on upright. And it’s real stripped-down, and it was just this small room with all these candles, and just us, like, as musicians, just sittin’ there, and I was just singin’ the words, you know? It’s not really a performance, crazy, it’s just me gettin’ to be a songwriter for a minute, which I really enjoy, and I want people to see that side of me, you know, and this is a perfect way.”
