Things have really been going well for Chris Young, and with his new single, “Voices,” poised to hit the airwaves, Chris recently told us that he’s breathing a little easier these days after having achieved back-to-back number-one hits with “Gettin’ You Home” and “The Man I Want to Be.” For Chris, those singles were important milestones because, no matter what, he smiles, he’ll always be able to say that he had a pair of chart-toppers…and he’ll never be a one-hit wonder. “If not anything else — and this is such a compartmentalized way of lookin’ at it — but there’s no way that I’ll ever be a one-hit wonder, and there’s way I’ll ever only have one number-one. So, I mean, getting stuff like that out of the way is really cool. I mean, it sounds like it’s not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things, but bein’ able to go, ‘Yeah, we’ve got these two number-one records,’ when people ask me, you know, ‘What’d you do?’ I love that question. You can look at ’em and go, you know, ‘I’ve got these two number-one records.'”
