Brad Paisley is headed for the White House! The man with the number-one country album in the nation for the second consecutive week — American Saturday Night (get one, it’s great!) — has been invited to the White House on July 21st to participate in the Country Music Celebration, part of the ongoing White House Music Series hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama. Brad and fellow Opry star Alison Krauss will be speaking to a group of students in the afternoon, and Brad and Alison will later offer a performance in the East Room for President Obama and the First Lady, along White House staff and members of Congress.
- The White House Music Series is a new and continuing initiative to celebrate the arts and the importance of arts education.
- Congratulations to Brad, who’s been racking up the Gold records! He just picked up three Gold Digital Singles — one for American Saturday Night‘s first smash, “Then,” and two more from his 5th Gear album: “Ticks” and “I’m Still a Guy.”
- Brad is brand new on the radio with the incredible “Welcome to the Future,” the hot second single from American Saturday Night.
