Along with making great country music, golf has been one of the passions in Jake Owen‘s life, and with the 2009 British Open underway today, we thought we’d have a little fun with Jake and ask him who he’d rather hang out with: Alan Jackson or golf titan Tiger Woods. Tiger got the nod, but only because Jake got to spend some great time with Alan when they toured together awhile back. Plus, he says, “I think I’d learn a little something on my golf game from ol’ Tiger.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

• One thing that Jake can definitely do better than Tiger Woods is deliver a hole-in-one kind of hit, and he’s got it nailed with his amazing new single, “Eight Second Ride.” It’s just one more smash from Jake’s Easy Does It collection that also includes “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You.”

“I would have to say Tiger Woods. I’ve met Alan Jackson. I was on tour with him, so I’ve already been fortunate enough to do that. He’s a great guy, and just, it was pretty much an honor to stand there and watch him play every single night. But I think I’d learn a little something on my golf game from ol’ Tiger.”

“I don’t know if I’d lay some money on the line, unless he gave me like 25 shots a side, maybe. Nah, I don’t know. I’d just like to see a guy that’s that good hit the golf ball down the fairway.”
