Chris Young may be Country Weekly‘s fan-voted Hottest Bachelor, but there are times when the “hottest” part of that title could be taken literally…as in outdoor concerts during sweltering temperatures. Chris recalls at least one occasion when the mercury topped the 100 mark, but he says it’s gone the other way, too, with freezing temps during a “seein’-your-breath, it-might-start-snowing-at-any-moment kind of show.” But given his choice of the two extremes, Chris says he’d opt for the cold. “I would,” he laughs, “I’m not gonna lie. You can put a lot more layers on than you can take off.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)
- Another thing that’s taking off is Chris’ smokin’ hot single, “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song).” It’s all over the radio, and the digital single is available now! The song is from Chris’ new album, The Man I Want to Be, in stores on September 1st!
Chris Young says he’s played in all kinds of weather, but in his choice of extremes, he’d rather go cold than hot. (:40)
“I know we played at least one time where it was 101. Yeah, I mean just ridiculous, like, drummer losing grip on sticks because he’s so hot, you know? And then, we’ve also had the other extreme where one time we played outside and it was like fifteen degrees, and it’s like, after the first two songs, you can’t tell what notes you’re playin’ ’cause you can’t feel your left hand on the guitar. And I actually played wearing a jacket. We’re full on, outside, seein’-your-breath, it-might-start-snowing-at-any-moment kind of show. And I would much rather have the cold show. I would. (laughs) I’m not gonna lie. You can put a lot more layers on than you can take off.”
