BROOKS & DUNN: Let the Good Times Roll

Brooks & Dunn are poised to hit the road a week from Saturday with the June 6th North American kick-off of their 2009 Cowboy Town Tour. And as they look ahead to the tour, Ronnie Dunn tells us that while their concerts may include favorite ballads like “Believe,” their approach to performing is “more about creating a party atmosphere and showing people a good time.” And with more than a few hits under their belts, the guys have developed a great sense of what kind of songs really work to keep the party going. BROOKS & DUNN: Let the Good Times Roll  Ronnie Dunn says that some songs are naturals for the kind of atmosphere the guys like to create at their shows. (:30)
“You get some of those that come along, they’re like that, you just know it’s…it’s gonna do it. There’re just some beats and rhythms and things that are just, they’re just, they’re shoo-ins. And if you’re lucky enough to combine it with the right lyric content and the right crowd, it’s, you know…we write for fun. It’s more about creating a party atmosphere and showing people a good time. You know, every now and then you can, you know, we’ll throw in something…like a ‘Believe,’ but for the most part, we’re there to have a good time, and to see them have a good time.”
