Jake Owen has another hit on his hands with his new single, “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You,” fast approaching the Top 20…but he’s had a heads-up for a while now that he was onto something good. “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You” was a song Jake co-wrote right after he made his first album. Along the way, he’s been playing it in his concerts, and he says, people “just took to the song” right away. Having enjoyed the great crowd feedback for so long now, Jake says that finally getting to record it felt really special. “Right after I wrote the first record, I wrote this song. It was just one of those songs that from the first day I worked it up with my band and played it live, people just…they just took to the song. So it was really kind of special to play the song for the last year-and-a-half, couple years, on the road and get the experience of singin’ it live, and then to go into the studio and record it, it just made it, everything come together, so it was great.”
