Watching Miranda Lambert perform — whether you see her on television or in concert, as thousands did at last week’s CMA Music Festival in Nashville — you really experience the energy and passion she pours into making every moment of a show the best it can be…and Miranda had extra reason to be fired-up for her Music Fest performance after being presented with a gold record for her current album, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. It all happened just moments before she stepped on stage, and it marked another great milestone for her second album, which just last month was named ACM Album of the Year. “It’s just amazing,” Miranda gushed, “I’m just so thrilled…and I’ve been waiting for that plaque!” She knew that sales on the album had been soaring toward that gold threshold — and receiving it at Music Fest couldn’t have been more appropriate for Miranda. “To get it here,” she tells us, “it’s really special — a special place for me to say ‘thank you’ to the people that allowed me to have something like this.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)
- Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has already launched two big hits, with “Famous in a Small Town” and Miranda’s newest single (and the biggest hit of her career so far!) — “Gunpowder & Lead” — now closing in on the Top-10!
