As much as people may have seen or read about Carrie Underwood over the past three years — like her cover story in the recent May issue of InStyle magazine — Carrie says there’s still plenty about her that fans have yet to discover. “I think a lot of people do put me in this ‘sweet little girl’ mode,” she says…and, as a result, she admittedly enjoys stepping out of that persona every so often via her music. Her current Top-10 hit, “Last Name,” and its “wild girl” storyline provide a perfect example of what we’re talking about. “It’s completely out of character,” Carrie admits…but she also says that’s part of what made it so much fun to record. And while Carrie would much rather people know her as the sweetheart she really is, she says with a big laugh, “I would like people to realize that I can get an attitude if I want to.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

“I think there’s a lot that people don’t know about me, and I think a lot of people do put me in this ‘sweet little girl’ mode a lot. Which is fine – I would so much rather people be like, ‘Oh, Carrie, she’s sweet; nice; aww, she’s always….’ I’d rather them put me like that than be like, ‘Man, she’s got an attitude.’ But I would like people to realize that I can get an attitude if I want to (laughs). And it’s fun, it’s sassy, it’s completely out of character, so it’s kind of rockin’.”
