“Hey it’s Jameson Rodgers and this is my song Mine For The Summer.”
“Mine For The Summer is a song, ironically, I wrote in the middle of the winter. I wrote it with Brent Anderson, Smith Ahnquist, and Jake Mitchell on a writing retreat. And we had just sat down and Jake had kind of started playing this groove that kind of felt like Iris from the Goo Goo Dolls that song from from the 2000s that I’ve loved for a long time. And so we wanted to write a song that gave us that same kind of feeling and emotion and this was our best attempt. It’s one of my favorite songs I’ve written.”
