JAMESON RODGERS RELEASES TWO NEW TRACKS: “GOIN’ CRAZY” AND “HOLDIN’ ME BACK” (AUDIO & VIDEO)
“Hey it’s Jameson Rodgers and this is my song Goin’ Crazy.”
“Goin’ Crazy is an idea that I heard in conversation with someone, I wish I could remember the specific conversation, but someone used it in a casual conversation we were having. I’m Goin’ Crazy about whatever it was, I wish I could remember, but I remember my songwriting radar kind of went off and I remember leaving wherever I was in putting that title in my phone. Well I had time you know later in the week or something and and I really thought about it and I was like, you could make this into a love song kind of thing. Which is not necessarily my wheelhouse per se but um, I kind of wrote down, kind of mapped it out how you could do it. And I had a write with Hardy, me and Hardy had a random Monday or Tuesday off during the busy touring season last year. And we pulled in our buddies Josh Thompson and Zach Ahbend. I threw this idea out they all loved it, and we had a song and about a couple hours and it’s been a fan favorite on socials. So I’m excited to have everybody here this thing.“

HOLDIN’ ME BACK
“Hey it’s Jameson Rodgers and this is my song Holdin’ Me Back.”
“Holdin’ Me Back is a song I’ve told the story many times how I go to a cabin every January. And this song was born at the beginning of January 2023, one of the first songs that I wrote this year and my buddies, Brent Anderson Smith and Smith Ahnquist brought in this idea they had kind of gotten together and done some homework before the retreat. And they kind of brought this idea in. And musically it’s just something that it has the kind of the 2000s alt rock vibe to it, which is stuff I love and something that I don’t necessarily write all the time. So I immediately was on board writing it and our buddy Jake Mitchell was in there too. And so yeah, it was born at the cabin, and it only took us a few drinks and a few hours to finish it up, but it’s one of my favorites, off the new stuff.”
