“Hey it’s Rachel Wammack and this is my new EP Dear Christmas.”
Rachel Wammack “Dear Christmas” EP (STORY AUDIO)
“I was so excited to go in the studio and start working on a Christmas EP. I love Christmas music and I love spreading the Christmas cheer. I feel like Christmas is probably my favorite holiday. And working on this music was really really fun for me. One song on the project is an Elvis cover and my granny’s always been a huge fan of Elvis so I was excited to do that. I knew she’d be excited. And then I also fell in love with this song. There’s A New Kid In Town and I heard the Alan Jackson/Keith Whitley version, which Keith was one of the writers on the song. And I was just really stopped in my tracks at this song and knew that I had to do it so I’m excited for that one too. And of course my surprise special guest on it as well.

About Rachel Wammack:

Since releasing her debut single “Damage,” Muscle Shoals, Alabama native Rachel Wammack has been touted for her “powerful, soaring pipes” (Billboard) and her raw and honest storytelling. The rising star and dynamic vocalist was previously named one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know,” part of CMT’s “Next Women of Country” and Bobby Bones’ “Women of iHeartCountry,” and deemed an “Artist to Watch” by Pandora, Entertainment Weekly, and MusicRow. In 2019, Wammack performed overseas and has shared stages with country music icons such as Trisha Yearwood, Rascal Flatts, and Reba McEntire. After the Pandemic hit in 2020, Wammack turned to social media to stay connected with her fans. When sharing her life online became a burden weighted by pressures to appear perfect, she made the decision to take a break from it altogether. In the pivotal following months, the rising star rediscovered herself – she began writing with who she wanted to write with, wearing what she felt best in, and stopped worrying about how she appeared online. In the spring of 2021, she co-penned a song called “Like Me,” which was the story of her past year’s challenges inked on paper. With a fresh new batch of music led by the personal tune, the rising star is set to make her mark in Nashville with full momentum and certainty of who she is.
