“Well, I think the hardest song on the record that I wrote was definitely What Would This World Do. because I wrote it about Busbee getting diagnosed really late stage glioblastoma and not really having, like his family or the friends, like none of the community here had the time to really process what had even happened. And then by the time that we could he was gone. It was really rapid succession. So I feel like that song was written during just a moment of where he was still with us, but it was also such a beautiful artistic moment of just I didn’t even feel like I was writing the song. I felt like it was coming from above and it was just, I was the vessel with the pen.”
