NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Jameson Rodgers’ first ticketed show was at Proud Larry’s in Oxford, MS in 2016. Playing to a crowd so full it shocked even him, the night affirmed the singer/songwriter’s dedication to a road-warrior mindset that has since seen him regularly clock more than 100 performances a year for the better part of a decade. His exhilarating, raucous live show – born in that Mississippi college town – is now immortalized on Live from Oxford, MS, available today.

The heavy-touring Batesville, MS native marches home literally and figuratively on the eight-song project, re-pledging allegiance to the small-town world that inspires his heavy-duty brand of country rock. Recorded during a sold-out show at the historic Lyric Theater in Oxford, the project reveals the live-show foundation of Rodgers’ sound and success. Featuring songs from his debut album Bet You’re From a Small Town – plus his first viral hit “Midnight Daydream” – each knock-out track is delivered with the extra adrenaline rush of a hometown crowd, a roar Rodgers now takes with him while hitting the nation’s biggest stages.

Rodgers has shared bills with Luke Combs, Lee Brice, Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line, and more. He’s set for Luke Bryan’s 2022 Farm Tour later this year, plus select dates with Darius Rucker. Between it all he’ll headline stops across the country and appear at notable fairs and festivals including CMA Fest (Riverfront Stage), Carolina Country Music Fest, Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, Faster Horses, and Watershed. He’ll also return to his hometown for Batesville Springfest on May 21.

It’s such a special thing. You know, Batesville is obviously near and dear to my heart, all the people there that I grew up with and still have a ton of family and friends there. And it’s just cool seeing people root for me and yeah, making them proud. It’s just what you do it for, you know, I mean, there’s probably a piece of Batesville in every song on the record in some form or fashion. So, proud of where it came from and never gonna forget where I came from.

I remember when we recorded Bars Back Home one of the musicians kind of wanted to – you know, when you’re in the studio you play the song down and then you kind of chat with the band of you know what direction we’re gonna go. And so we played it and one of the band members was like we should ,we should go this direction and in my mind I was like that’s that’s not right. That’s not what I’m hearing, but we went that route, we explored the idea it wasn’t right. And luckily we went to lunch came back and I talked him into doing it. You know, the original way I had in my mind, and they crushed it. It was great. So it was a tiny panic moment for a minute on Bars Back Home, but it came together.
