Hey, Country Radio. This is Elle King. I just want to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for giving me a shot and for helping me get to number one with my girl, Miranda Lambert. I wrote the song “Drunk” so long ago and I had no idea that it would unfold and open up and change my life. And I owe so much of that to you guys. Thank you for believing me. I hope you know I’m sticking around. So thank you.
Elle King Celebrates Reaching #1 at Country Radio (AUDIO)
Never in a million years would I have ever thought that a song that I wrote when I was about 24 years old would ever have the life that it has. With such superstar on it as Miranda Lambert who is now such a beautiful friend in my life. I mean that in and of itself just having that recording is amazing. But for that song to go to number one means absolutely everything in the world to me for a song that I wrote, as I come and and dive headfirst in into the country world for it to go number one means so much to me. Thank you so much to everyone who has given me a shot who has believed in me and given me a chance play me on the radio who the all the fans for requesting it. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I love you. I’m not going anywhere. I’m in country Elle King’s here to stay.
