Mitchell Tenpenny recently announced the release of his new EP “The Lowlight Sessions” available everywhere on April 15, 2022.
“The Lowlight Sessions is probably my favorite project up to this point because it’s songs that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. It’s something that kind of shares deep, deep emotions and thoughts in my life and things that I’ve gone through that I feel like a lot of people have gone through. And I hope that you can find your song on this record. But if you listen to it from the beginning to the end, you can see you know, you can see a story, you can see a struggle, you can see happiness. You can see different you know, aspects of my life all the way up to finding the one I love and the one I want to spend the rest of it with. So it’s just a story of you know, growing up figuring out life as you know a man in this world. You know, so many emotions and just as a songwriter, it’s it’s my place to put it out. As I’m growing up, a lot of things change my opinions change. And you can kind of see it through this record. There’s some things early on, that I say that I might not write about now but I’m glad I did then because I can look back on and be like I remember who I was when I wrote that, compared to remember who I am now at the end. I hope that you love it as much as I do. These are songs that I put my heart and soul in. And you know, just dim the lights, turn them down low, grab ya a nice cocktail and check it out.”
Mitchell Tenpenny is set to perform at the 2022 ACM Awards on March 7th on Amazon Prime Video. He will join label mate Chris Young for a performance of their hit song “At The End of a Bar.”
“I am so excited to perform at the ACM’s especially with my buddy Chris Young. I love Chris. This song has been so amazing for me in my career, and I can’t thank Chris enough. So to get to come back to the ACMs, it’s been a while and to get to go back to Vegas and hang out, that’s always a blast. But I’m just excited to get on, perform with him and, you know, show the world what we got. I love this song and I love doing it with him.”
