“This was a song that started when I was like 24 years old. And we rewrote it and it’s like sure, like this is a good song, it could stand on its own, but like something was missing. And Miranda and I were becoming friends. And it’s just like, what if Miranda sang on this with me? And so I asked her to do it. And I also didn’t, like, go into this like, if Miranda sings on it, we’ll get it on Country radio, but honestly, I wish I was that smart business wise. If I could be that business savvy, I would be probably a lot farther ahead in life. But it was like these magical ingredients that just kind of worked out.”
