OLD DOMINION: ON GETTING BACK ON THE ROAD AND ON STAGE (AUDIO)

On getting back into the groove of being on stage
Matthew Ramsey: Yeah, I mean, we we had about a week of rehearsals to make sure that we could kind of there was some rub off.

Trevor Rosen: There was some rust.

Matthew Ramsey:Yeah, though. It was a little tough to get going get the wheels turning remember how to how to you know not only play the songs but actually incorporate them into a show and but you know, as we practiced and you know, just ran through it a few times. It came back pretty easily and then then the the one private show that we had it was like, you know, it was like a good sort of paid rehearsal to like, really kind of feel what it feels like to be on a stage again, and, you know, get outside of your head a little bit and just enjoy playing music for people.

On what they missed while being off the road
Trevor Rosen: I mean, what I missed, which comes back immediately, when we all get together is just the laughter.

Matthew Ramsey: Yeah, I mean, that’s what I was gonna say.

Trevor Rosen: Everybody is genuinely… everybody equally cracks me up.

Matthew Ramsey: Yeah, we laugh a lot in this group. And, you know, that was sorely missed. It’s like, we definitely have a connection and a sense of humor that is, you know, sometimes gets us in trouble. But, you know, it’s really fine-tuned amongst the five of us. So it was hard to not be around that.
