Commentary from Seaforth on making the Video for “Close Enough”
Tom Jordan: What’s up, guys? It’s your friends Seaforth here. If you missed it this week, we actually put out our music video for our song “Close Enough.” It was directed by a talented dude named Jimmy Fisco. And, we had a blast mate, didn’t we?
Mitch Thompson: Oh yeah, oh yeah. Yeah, that was a hilarious day. That’s the first time we’ve worked with a greenscreen so it’s a little awkward, but we basically just danced around like idiots on top of a car and did some yoga poses and some workout…
Tom Jordan: Yeah, got to get my push ups in for the day so that was nice.
Mitch Thompson: Yep. Yep. Really great for the fitness. I think I snapped my hip falling off the car, which was great, which I needed that.
Tom Jordan: Still recovering.
Mitch Thompson: Yeah. We had a blast. We tried to make it as random as possible. It doesn’t really make any sense for the song, but I love that. And, we hope you love it too.
Tom Jordan: Check it out.

Buzzy duo Seaforth premiered their brand new music video for their latest release “Close Enough.” Watch here

The duo’s Tom Jordan and Mitch Thompson co-wrote the grooving track with Andy Albert and Jordan Schmidt, the same team behind “Anything She Says,” their Gold-certified collaboration with Mitchell Tenpenny.

“The travel budget for this one was through the roof! Haters will say it’s fake,” joked Jordan and Thompson of the clip.

“Close Enough” has earned attention from Billboard, who praised “Clever wordplay rules the day on the sexy track,” while NY Country Swag echoed “Country music lovers can expect to hear a lot more from Seaforth going forward.” It follows “Talk About,” their “banjo-backed singalong that is simply made for country radio” (Your Life In a Song), as well as “uber-romantic” (PopCulture) ballad “Everything Falls for You.”

The duo has been steadily dropping new music throughout the year, with even more expected in early 2021. They also recently welcomed Morgan Wallen and Ingrid Andress to their (fictional) Instagram talk show “We’ve Got A Lot to Talk About.”

About Seaforth: Named after the sun-kissed suburb of Sydney, Australia they once called home, award-winning duo Seaforth have developed one of the most recognizable sounds in country music. The MusicRow Discovery Artist of the Year-nominated band is comprised of lifelong friends Tom Jordan and Mitch Thompson, who, as Seaforth, have shared the stage opening for stars like Keith Urban, Kane Brown, Brett Young, Jake Owen, and more. Shortly after the pair first collaborated as neighbors and former classmates, they began making trips to Nashville, showcasing their progressive country sound. After signing with RCA Nashville and moving to Music City, they’ve proven to be one of country music’s standout acts. Their debut EP, Love That , and its title track made waves at country radio before topping Rolling Stone’s Trending 25 chart and earning more than 43 million on-demand streams. The short-player, praised by outlets like MusicRow and Sounds Like Nashville, was followed by “Anything She Says,” the duo’s Gold-certified collaboration with 2X Platinum-selling artist and Sony Music Nashville labelmate Mitchell Tenpenny, which has surpassed 76 million on-demand streams. Recipients of ARPA’s prestigious 2020 Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year-Nashville award, Seaforth is poised to be one of the decade’s most exciting breakthrough duos.
