In spite of all the 2020 craziness, the awards season has been very good to Combs this year. Combs shares on if winning awards feels any different this year compared to previous years.
Luke Combs: I’m just as thrilled, I think we all wish there could be fans and an audience of our peers there to watch us win, I think anybody would love that, that moment and that recognition, also I think when you’re winning certain things, like when I won at Billboard the other night for Top Country Artist it wasn’t top country artist of the quarantine, it was the top country artist of last year. I remember thinking man, we have earned this. We were out there busting our ass on the road and doing everything that we could to potentially be in this situation. It still feels great, you just don’t get to go out and have a big party and have drinks afterwards, that’s the only difference.
