NIKO MOON’S “GOOD TIME” CERTIFIED GOLD

Surprised with Gold Plaque During Interview with CMT’s Cody Alan on “After Midnite”

Grand Ole Opry Debut Set For Oct. 10

Let me just start by saying, I never get surprised. I always see it coming and, I can always tell if like something is a little off. But, I completely got just mind blown by the surprise. I mean, it was unbelievable. I opened the door and there’s Randy Goodman standing there with the gold plaque. Oh my God my brain about exploded. It was so, it was just so out there for me. I just never, never in a million years thought I would open that door… and I was gonna see Randy standing there with the plaque, it was so cool. It was so amazing. It made me feel, just really cared about, really appreciated and this gold plaque, I mean, means more than I can really express. It’s really what is represents, not the gold plaque itself. It’s just the fact of so many people’s hard work and effort. You know, I, myself have been doing this for a while, just working really hard at this. It just makes you feel good to know that your music has connected to people. And, it makes you feel understood, it makes you feel worthwhile. And, um, to be able to have accomplished that with some of my favorite people in the world, my management, my label, I mean, I just love y’all. Thank you so much for all the love and support you give me. Um, for lifting me up, couldn’t ask for better teammates and oh, here’s to many more to come.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – RCA Nashville rising star Niko Moon was surprised Tuesday with the news his single, “GOOD TIME,” has achieved RIAA Gold certification during an interview with CMT’s Cody Alan on his radio show “After Midnite.” Watch here.

“I am beyond excited that ‘GOOD TIME’ is my first Gold record as an artist!” said Moon. “I cannot thank everyone enough for their support, from country radio and streaming, to my team, to the people who have embraced this song and listened to it over and over – I am so blessed. And of course, Cody Alan who helped break this news! It’s so humbling and I’m just happy to be able spread positivity through country music.”

Listeners will have another chance to hear the surprise announcement tonight on “CMT Radio Live.”

The milestone builds on an eventful few weeks for Moon, as “GOOD TIME” continues its swift climb at country radio, already within the Top 25. “GOOD TIME” also debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, Moon’s first artist entry on the all-genre chart. Continuing this momentum, Moon is scheduled to make his Grand Ole Opry debut Saturday, Oct. 10.

The innovative new artist recently debuted “DANCE WITH ME,” a brand new track he co-wrote with his wife, Anna Moon, and longtime collaborator/co-producer Joshua Murty. Listen here. Meanwhile, his GOOD TIME EP continues to make waves, lauded by American Songwriter as “the perfect track-list of damn good fun,” and catapulting Moon to the No. 4 on Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough Artist Chart, the highest country artist ranking.

ABOUT NIKO MOON: RCA Nashville recording artist and Texas native Niko Moon relocated to Douglasville, GA at age 10, equidistance from hip-hop hub Atlanta and country breeding ground Newnan, GA, inspiring Moon’s artful persona: a mix of hooky melodies, shrewd wordplay and edgy, electronic beats. The genre-defying singer/songwriter has written five No. 1 hits: Zac Brown Band’s “Loving You Easy,” “Homegrown,” “Beautiful Drug,” “Keep Me In Mind,” and “Heavy Is The Head.” Named a 2020 artist to watch by CMT and Amazon Music, Moon’s “decidedly ear catching” (MusicRow ) solo debut “GOOD TIME” has reached the Top 25 at country radio and amassed more than 93 million on-demand streams, earning him a reputation as “One of the most genuine and creative artists in country music right now” (THINK Country Music). Moon is currently self-producing his debut full-length project alongside longtime collaborator and friend Joshua Murty.
