Matthew Ramsey: Biggest question we get about the “Meow Mix” is, why? Um, it’s really just no reason other than pure silliness. We’ve been on the run a long time, make a lot of inside jokes. Our label is always after us to put out different versions of songs and help us get interest drummed up for the song, you put out the acoustic version, a different remix. Um, we struggle with that sometimes so, um as a joke we just decided, let’s ‘meow’ a song. I think it started with “One Man Band” and then it snowballed into the whole album because we thought it was so funny.
