In an effort to share a little love for all the Father’s out there this Father’s Day, here are some favorite Father’s Day stories and/or their all time favorite Dad Joke. A very happy Father’s Day from all of us at Sony Music Nashville.

Hey this is Jameson Rodgers! In an effort to show some great love to all the dads out there this Father’s Day, I wanted to share my all-time favorite story told by my dad. When my parents first got married and they were younger, my dad was always scared of people breaking in at night, so he always had that fear in the back of his mind. It was storming real bad one night, and he says the cat ran across the piano so he was freaked out, and he had this gut feeling that somebody was outside. So he goes over to the window, he peeks open and slams it back real quick, slams the curtain back, walks over and grabs his shotgun. My mom’s freaking out, she says, “What’s going on? What’s out there?” And he says, “The ugliest man in the world is outside our window right now.” And my mom’s freaking out, so he goes back over there with the gun and kind of peels back the curtain again, and when he moved his head the ugliest man in the world moved his head as well, and dad quickly realized he called himself the ugliest man in the world with his reflection. He shuts the curtain back, my mom’s like, “What’s going on?” And he was like, “Ah, it’s all good, he’s gone.” So that’s my favorite dad story, happy Father’s Day to all you great dads out there.

I think I’m growing as a man, as just growing patience, I guess… cuz with a kid you have to get patience and it’s something I’ve never really been great with. She’s helping me out with that a lot. And Father’s Day, you know, she’s a little too young for it right now, but I can’t wait to maybe go out to dinner, the three of us, as a family. Post a Father’s Day picture on Instagram.

This is Ryan Hurd, and I just had my first baby. I think that the coolest thing that I’ve gotten to experience is just learning how to become a family of 3 with Maren, and that’s been really exciting. I think some of the best advice I’ve gotten is get as many onesies with zippers instead of buttons because they’re quicker and easier at 2 in the morning when you’re changing a kid. But really I think that the thing that we’ve had to learn is just being patient with a kid and with each other, and always trying to smile even when you’re exhausted because even if it’s hard it’s super rewarding, and we’ve really enjoyed this time being at home with our son. I know that we’d rather be ramping it back up to be on the road playing shows right now, but it’s awesome to have this blessing of time at home, so it’s really a special thing.
