Having just wrapped up the first weekend of his Grew Up in the Country tour, Rodgers shares on kicking off his first headlining tour and how the support and response continues to grow for his debut single “Some Girls.”
Yeah the first weekend on the Grew Up in the Country tour exceeded my expectations by a ton. We hit St. Louis and Kansas City, had no idea even had a fan in either of those cities. So they were all singing all of my songs and yeah my mind was pretty blown. I’ll definitely never forget both of those nights.
“Some Girls,” as soon as I put it out people were reacting to it a month later. So, I knew it was a special song and it’s just been awesome to see, you know, the crowds getting bigger, you know, the reactions getting bigger and better as time has gone on. So, I think in St. Louis they were actually chanting “Some Girls” before I played it so that was cool. I think as it slowly climbs the charts we’ll hopefully see an even bigger reaction.
