| Nashville, TN – Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Maren Morris’ highly anticipated new song “GIRL” available now across all digital music platforms for fans to stream and download. The rousing new recording was written by Morris and Sarah Aarons (“The Middle,” Zedd/Maren Morris/Grey), along with Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia), whom is credited for producing “GIRL,” and serves as the first music to be released from Morris’ forthcoming 2019 album and follow-up to the 2016 critically acclaimed, RIAA Gold-certified album, HERO. Yesterday, “GIRL” made its world premiere on country radio, almost three years, to the day, from when Morris was first introduced to the airwaves when her debut single, the now 2x Platinum, Grammy-Award winning, “My Church,” arrived on country radio (Jan. 20, 2016). Just hours before “GIRL” would be heard for the first time, Morris doubled-down on the momentous day when she announced her headlining “GIRL: THE WORLD TOUR,” the 40+ city tour, which kicks off March 9 in Chicago, IL, and includes Cassadee Pope and RaeLynn on select dates. | About Maren Morris: Twenty-eight-year-old Columbia Nashville singer/songwriter Maren Morris has quickly established herself with vocal styling’s that reflect her country, folk and pop influences. Armed with sheer talent, honest lyrics and a completely magnetic presence, Morris’ label-debut album, the GOLD-certified HERO, released via Columbia Nashville on June 3, 2016. Kicking off 2017 Morris took home the GRAMMY for BEST COUNTRY SOLO PERFORMANCE for “My Church” at the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awardsin addition to having the most nominations for a Country music artist with FOUR to her credit including BEST NEW ARTIST, BEST COUNTRY ALBUM (HERO) and BEST COUNTRY SONG (“My Church”). She received SIX nominations for the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards including Female Vocalist of the Year, New Female Vocalist of the YeaR which she took home the trophy for, Album of the Year (as artist and producer) for HERO , and Single Record of the Year (as artist and producer) for “My Church.” Morris was also named Radio Disney’s BEST NEW COUNTRY ARTIST at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards.
