Chris Young‘s brand new album Losing Sleep is available right now, in stores and online! Chris is very happy to have this new collection of music out, “I’m excited I don’t think there’s any way you can really hide that, I think it’d be different if I wasn’t excited then I would feel like may I hadn’t done something right on my end, but I’m thrilled I’m just really loving all of this music” And you know he must love this music, because he’s heard it more than anyone else so far, “I’ve listened to it billions of times I was listening to it when we were over in Europe, just listening to mixes on the plane, it’s really and truly a labor of love you love the music but you labor to make it something other people are going to love as well and that sounds like a Hallmark greeting card I know but it really is true, it’s something that is so personal and that you want to feel personal for other people.” When it comes to other people listening to his new album Losing Sleep, Chris knows what reaction he’s looking for from fans, “The best thing you can ever do as an artist is someone to sit down, listen to your album and go… ‘God that’s one of my favorite records,’ and I hope people do that with Losing Sleep when comes out.” The album is out today, but that’s the only thing Chris Young was looking forward to on this day, as tickets for his Losing Sleep World Tour also went on sale today. Chris shares that with his recent schedule, his album title is very appropriate, “If I was going to name any album Losing Sleep, of course I would put it on a week where I wasn’t going to get any. Just so much stuff going on, with the album launch, with the tour announcement, with the Opry induction and shows that weekend and flying to L.A. and, and, and…but it’s pretty incredible. Just knowing all that stuff is going on and all these wonderful things are happening is just an amazing feeling.” But at the end of the day, Chris wouldn’t change a thing, “Every day I wake up and I get to do this I keep feeling like somebody’s gonna figure out that all I’m doing is having fun and take it away cause that’s really my entire job is I get to do what I want all the time.
