CHRIS YOUNG: Hey, Would You Want To Sing On It As Well And Make It A Duet?

Kane Brown has said that Chris Young is someone he looks up to musically, so much so, that before Kane got his record deal, he used to perform covers of Chris’ songs. But now Kane is not only signed to the same record label as Chris, but on his debut album, Kane included a song called “Comeback” which was written by Chris Young. The two artists became fast friends…even before they spent the summer out on the road with each other on the They Don’t Know tour. Tomorrow that friendship and work relationship takes another step as Kane releases the deluxe version of his debut album that features 4 new songs, including a duet with Chris Young. Chris shared the story behind him appearing on Kane’s song “Setting The Night On Fire,” “I actually co-wrote this with Kane and Josh (Hoge) and Cory (Crowder), and I knew he was going to cut it and I was really excited about that.” Then Chris got an offer he couldn’t refuse, “I got kind of the message of ‘hey, would you want to sing on it as well and make it a duet?’ and it’s one of those rare songs where it’s kind of this good times party song out in the country, but it works as a duet to be able to sing this, so I was like man I’d love to do that.” While Chris would have said “yes” anyway, the decision was solidified by his own experience he’s had in his career, “Having asked people to guest on my records in the past, I know how important that is, so the fact that Kane asked me to be on his record I thought was really cool and something I’m still very very proud of.”
Chris will be having his own album coming out later this month as Losin’ Sleep is slated to hit stores and online October 20th. The title track of that project is looking to jump into top 20 very soon. For more info, head to Chris Young Country dot com, or just click HERE
