KANE BROWN: Kept Covering His Songs

Kane Brown is living his dream of making music, and he’s getting to do it with one of the people that influenced him. One of the artists Kane would cover while he was looking for his big break was Chris Young…Kane would do a cover song of “Gettin’ You Home” and post it to You Tube, “Yeah that was one of the things before anybody even knew who I was, I just kept covering his songs and I wanted him to notice me so bad.” After moving to Nashville, getting signed to the same record label as Chris, and becoming friends with him, Kane learned that Chris actually saw those videos he made, “The first time I met him, I met his mom as well, and I remember her telling me, ‘we knew about you before anybody else.’ Somebody hit him up whenever I put ‘Gettin’ You Home’ on YouTube. She listened to it and then showed Chris.” From there, Kane and Chris have spent the summer out on the road together on Jason Aldean‘s They Don’t Know tour, and while Kane already has a song written by Chris Young on his debut album, he will have another song involving Chris on the new deluxe version of his album coming out October 6th, to which Kane says “it’s just surreal.” Kane and Chris duet on the song “Setting The Night On Fire”–one of three new tracks that fans can get next week when the deluxe version of his debut album arrives online and in stores. The album also features Kane’s current top-5, and climbing, song “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina.
