Dolly Parton announced this week that she’s releasing a new album this Fall–but it will be a first for her legendary career. The project, called I Believe In You, is Dolly’s first album written and recorded for kids and those young at heart.   All 14 tracks on I Believe In You were written and performed by Dolly herself. Not only is the music on the album special, but if you buy the album, Dolly is making sure that all the proceeds are going directly to her Imagination Library, which was launched 20 years ago, and has seen 100 million books get into the hands of children, with many more to be helped.

“I know! Isn’t that amazing that I’ve never had a kids album…and you know, it’s about time. I really just wanted to put together the songs that we write for the Imagination library, and then all of a sudden we thought, ‘well, I’ll add a few more extra songs. A few things to it, and just go ahead and put it out.’ So, I didn’t have a tour coming up, and I wasn’t planning a big musical album, so I thought this is the perfect timing for it.”
