CHRIS YOUNG: Remembering Glen Campbell

After the news broke of his passing, many stars commented on the life and legacy of Glen Campbell. One of those people remembering Glen is Chris Young, who spoke of the legacy Glen left behind with his music, “You’d be hard pressed to find in my opinion anybody that doesn’t love Glen Campbell and understand the significance his career and just who he was had on not just country but a lot of just music. There’s so many people that love Glen Campbell and you know, I don’t know that anyone was necessarily shocked or surprised just because how his health had been over the past several years but it’s always sad when you lose somebody that’s just a corner stone if music like that. Going through songs of his especially to me ‘Wichita Lineman,’ there’s so many songs you can go through, ‘Rhinestone Cowboy,’ ‘By The Time I Get To Phoenix,’ ‘Gentle On My Mind,’ ‘Southern Nights,’  and just on and on and on. But that one for me (‘Wichita Lineman’) was always the one that stood out and he was just so different and he truly was an innovator and he’ll be missed.”  Glen Campbell passed away on August 8th 2017 at the age of 81.
