“Going into How I Met Your Mother, they knew my limited acting experience, so I don’t think anybody was holding out these high expectations for me. If anything I think they were pleasantly surprised, so they probably had pretty low expectations of me when I walked in. (laughs) But everybody was so great! The vibe on that show is awesome, everybody’s nice. They’re really great, everybody was friends and laughing the whole time, and it was just a lot of fun.”

“I feel like the fans will know me better by getting My Best Days, because I think there’s gonna be a piece and a side they haven’t seen. They haven’t the artistry yet, inside of me. They haven’t seen some of the raw emotion that I’ve been able to put in this CD. I’ve been able to be really blunt because this is my own project. It’s really about everything coming from the inside. So I think fans are going to see a little bit… they’re gonna learn a little bit more about who I am as a artist, and they’ll have a deep connection with me.”

010 HIGHLIGHTS: March" width="16" height="14" />  Carrie Underwood feels that there’s a sense of hopefulness in the lyrics to her song, “Temporary Home.” (:42)
“For me, I’ve never written a song like this one before, as far as the way it came about. It’s just, one day, I was, like, getting ready, and a flood just hit me. Like, just immediately, I thought of three different people, different places, different really bad things happening to them, but the song itself isn’t sad to me. It’s hopeful, and each person in each story, in each different place in their life, knows that things are going to be okay.”

010 HIGHLIGHTS: March" width="16" height="14" />  Alan Jackson contemplates the mystery of songwriting. (:28)
“There’s been a lot of places I’ve been, whether it’s a restaurant or bar, or somewhere with people, and you get some kind of little hook or idea that you can’t, you try to remember. A lot of times I get the ideas in places like that, and then I don’t write ‘em down, and then you forget what the idea is anyway. But I still don’t understand it, where it (laughs) comes from. I guess it’s just, you know, I know it’s just probably music you’ve heard, all this music all your life, and it’s all in your head, and then somehow it gets…comes out in a different form.”
